Rocky

A check-in for founders that compares you only to yourself.

paused mental health, founders

Rocky keeps when you write and how long the quiet runs between, and compares you to your own usual and to nobody else. You write one sentence in advance, in your own words, and a condition, like "if the gap runs 3x longer than my usual". When it's met, Rocky hands your sentence back and stops. It hears the rhythm, not the words.

The restraint is the product. It won't read what you write, guess how you feel, score you, compare you to anyone or detect a crisis. On the page, that's a list of limits, not of features.

The honest part: the model I built it around failed its own test. At spotting a quiet stretch it did no better than chance, so I switched it off and shipped without it. A fixed eleven-day rule did worse than chance. Rocky has not been studied, and the page says so.

It's one HTML file, built in August 2026, and it works today without an account.

Rocky's built-in example, five weeks of a made-up person: a twelve-day quiet reads 7.7 times their usual gap.
